It's Been a Long Hard Night (And I've Been Working Like A Dog)

Ahh, Beatles. Don't you love them? I do.
So. Life.
I finally found a job, I'm working at a Wendy's. I've only had it for like two weeks and I've only worked a few days. I have discovered, once more, that guys can be jerks, and to avoid them at all costs. (Now, if only I could learn to take my own advice.) School has been pretty dang dismal; I can't seem to keep up as well as I used to be able to.
Today's the second senior skip day, and, although I planned on going, I'm home, legitimately sick. It sucks, especially when no one believes you're truly sick. :/ so. There's that one.
Last night was Halloween, as many people know. I took Adam around to a few trunk or treats, and he had a blast. Around 8-ish he was done with it, so we sat in the car and watched Spongebob. Oh the joy.

Hmm...what else am I missing in this sporadic post?

I've applied (officially) to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I hope to hear from them soon. Big packet please! haha. I went to an event called UT Scholars, where we were given the opportunity to learn more about what, exactly, we want to major in, more information on the Honors Programs, and scholarship stuff. I attended a meeting in the Humanities, and basically, I've decided I want to do that. There's a program you can (hopefully) enter into called the College Scholars. Basically, you make your own major. I'm thinking just making one that involves, pretty much, all the Humanities, throw in some education courses, a few writing, and Spanish and voila! I'll have history, religious studies, classics (where I study Greek and Latin), philosophy, writing, education, Spanish, etc etc and I'll have the best darn degree around! During the showcase, one of the professors, Professor Christopher Craig, was telling a story about the fall of Carthage and how a general, I believe he was, spoke a line from a Greek tragedy. Professor Craig stopped the story, apologized for what he was about to do, spoke fluent Greek like nobody's business and then translated it! I mean, this man is a genius! After the showcase, I asked him if he could help me out with part of the Aeneid. My Latin 1 class had memorized the first 14 or so lines and I couldn't get past the first two, so I asked if he could help jog my memory. The man stood there, and right off the bat, without stumbling, recited the first, I don't know, twenty? twenty five? Lines of the Aeneid! It was great. :D So, I'm pretty sure me and him will become very good acquaintances.
So, with the Chancellor's Honors Program (which you can enter into your freshman year, and can combine with College Scholars) you have to write a thesis paper. Like the nerd I am, I've already thought what my thesis will be: Comparing the Fall of the Roman Empire to the History of the United States of America, more specifically, the Confederacy of America.
I'm excited. PLUS, with Europe in sight (looks like I'll be walking in Rome over Spring Break!!) I can work a little bit on gathering a few research ideas. Not sure how, but, I'll be there, why not mix a little work and play?
Oh but I am so excited to start college. But, before I can get there, I have to graduate high school, meaning not get murdered by a teacher for not turning an assignment in. So. Off I be.
I hope everyone enjoyed reading, and don't forget about Chip!
