So sorry I haven't updated in awhile. Let's get caught up (AKA, Kayla will rant on the beautiful days of her teenage life and motherhood).
I have (as of right now) missed out on two AP English assignments (and when I say "miss out" I mean my perfectionist attitude or extreme writer's block has gotten in the way) and I'm pretty sure I'm a full chapter behind in Pre-Calculus. Which is just fantastic! =/ Like I said before, I drown in homework.
And, on top of this, Homecoming Week is coming up, and Seniors (as tradition) are supposed to utterly dominate the class competitions. And, in the wonderfully lazy spirit of the Class of 2011, practically no one wants to do, or if they want to they "can't work it out." And don't get me wrong, if you legitimately can't work it out, fine, understandable.
But that was ridiculous. Life has been so busy lately, it's taken me a week of writing during lunch (when not checking out the wonderful College and Career Center now set up) and bits at night before bed, I am exhausted! Homecoming---thank god it's over, is all I have to say! The week has dragged on and I am so glad it's all over. Now to catch up on my homework! (see above, haha)
I've been working on Homecoming stuff (though not as much as others and shout-out to them for being so awesome!) and now, after a conversation with my favorite guidance counselor, like, ever! I will hopefully soon be pulling together senior prom, because, in the nature of my class, no one can get together to do anything. SO! Busy busy.
In other news, my baby boy has been sick. :/ He's getting better; his week was kinda jarred in a car accident. Thankfully no one was badly injured, and Adam was just scared more than anything. He's being his happy normal self which is just fantastic.
On the Job Hunt Front, still nothing. I'm working on making those teddy bears for charity, and trying to gather up fleece for the blankets for cancer patients. I don't remember if I've actually said yet on here or not, but I'm making teddy bears for children oncology ward(s) and fleece blankets for chemotherapy patients so they don't get cold. So far, I've got like three bears and one blanket that FCCLA helped make. I want to call craft stores for donations, just not sure on how to start. I want to get a job and put half my paycheck toward my car/Europe fund (please visit Chip!) and then a fourth to me and Adam stuff and a fourth to the charity bears and blankets. The only problem is: no job.
I meant to call people today but totally forgot what with the busy week finally over and the UTK football game (and yes, I am one of those people who type UTK instead of just UT. Haha.). Hopefully I can call tomorrow. There's a lady at Baskin Robbins I hope to hear from soon, and then I'm sort of known with the manager at Kroger. Hopefully I get something.
Well, I'm off to do homework and stuff.
Hakuna Matata and Happy Journeying.
Kayla
