In a Nutshell...

Hey! Hola! Salve!
My name is Kayla and I am a senior at a local high school in Tennessee. Basically, you have stumbled upon my blog that, hopefully, will help out in some way bigger than thought. How exactly that will play out is yet to be discovered. =D Well, as you see, my title is Journey to Life, meaning that basically this will be a chronicle of my day to day life. No, I won't put every single thing I ate for breakfast or what my bizarre dream was about last night (though, no promises on the latter). Little bit about myself...
I am a teen mother, as my URL suggests, meaning I work very hard for my A averages. I love to write and want to earn up to my PhD's in both History and Education, which, may seem a bit ludicrous, but what can I say? My son and I love to play together, he's the star that will last forever. I love to read as well as write and my dream is to have at least one book published before I hit 30 (but somehow, I don't see this happening).
I have TONS of goals. The most helpful to others would be my project for a school chapter making 500 bears for cancer patient children, and 100 blankets for chemotherapy patients at a local hospital.
My more selfish goal is my dream to attend a senior trip over spring break to Germany and Italy. I honestly would give up a car to go to this wonderful trip, and I'm trying to raise money and work my booty off to get the money. However, any money that is raised, (if I can't go on my trip :( ) will go to buying a decent used car and college fund. As I said, I'm going big, so I'm looking at a decade in college. Shall be fun.
